Exploring the World through Aviation
The travel industry certain has evolved in the last 30 years with more and more people opting to holiday in sunnier climates. The aviation industry has made this possible with cheap flights available throughout the year. Low cost budget airlines such as Easyjet and Ryanair have eased pressure on the purse strings to enable people to fly to various destinations in Europe for under £100 return. On some occasions offers in local newspapers have enabled people to travel for under £30.00 return, but there is often a catch to this and unless booked with the ultimate care, you could find that the price mounts fast. Luggage is a big issue on budget airlines, usually you are only able to take hand luggage on for free, this hand luggage has to be under a certain weight, and if over a hefty premium is charged. Travelling to sunnier climates and far out places has become easy and many people have opted for the ultimate holiday experience and gone for adventure holidays in places such as Africa. Enjoying the wildlife and the Safari parks and experiencing animals such as Lions, Elephants and Tigers in their natural habitat at close range. Many people see the airport as the start of their holiday and the plane journey is just part of the holiday experience. Passenger travel on planes became popular towards the 1960’s when more people where finding flying more affordable. More recently the first passenger plane to use Biofuel took off in November 2009. Aviation truly has progressed over the last 60 years and air travel has become much more affordable. One unfortunate aspect of air travel is the fact that Concord is no longer in operation. Concord was certainly the most exclusive way to travel, and up until its grounding after the Paris crash of 2000. Concord did up until Paris have an exemplary record and many big stars used Concord to travel. Air travel means that we as people can travel almost anywhere in the world, making anything possible.
